I have gone to Wickstead several times while staying at the Marten River Lodge and always did pretty well. If you want to connect via DM or email I could show you exactly where to go and what to use.
Best of luck!

Re: Big Rideau lake trout
Tried Charleston tonight.
Went to a bunch of the “usual” spots and it was a ghost town. Obviously I’m not looking it the right spots for this time of year.
Hmmmmm.

Re: Browns Bay launch closed
Hi there,
Thanks for that. It was closed in 2019 due to the high waters and throughout 2020 due to COVID and the work being done on the site.
I’m happy to hear it’s open!
Thanks

Browns Bay launch closed
Hi all, Looks like the Browns Bay launch is closed for the summer, further limiting the access to the St. Lawrence. Is there a map of public launches on the Larry? Right now I see, Prescott, 2 in Brockville, then nothing till Rockport? Is the launch in Mallorytown open again? So many of the places I...

Re: St. Lawrence big pike?
No, Riverfest was always late June early July. I think the last one might have been like 2001? Maybe?
Got too big for its budget.
Was giving away a boat motor and trailer everyday.

St. Lawrence big pike?
Hi all, Back in the day, during the Riverfest pike derby, there always used to be 15-20 lbs that would win the boat/motor/trailer. We used to be able to catch 6ers fairly regularly and occasionally luck into an 8 to 10lbs fish on the St. Lawrence near Brockville. But that was 30+ years ago and now i...

Lake trout - Big Rideau or Charleston
Hey folks just curious if anyone has had luck jogging on either big Rideau or Charleston. I went out about a week ago at Charleston and only marked like 5……they gotta be somewhere I’m not looking. Are they still shallow?
Any tips would be awesome!
Thanks
