I strongly agree with Taylor. This guy comes on the site and whacks the hornets nest just to get people going and when people respond in the manner which "normal" people are known to respond with concern, he jumps back in with some more garbage. Are you such a child, that you need people t...

I have heard comments about Pike being a one run fish and have to admit that a lot of the ones I have caught were just that. This year though I have caught eight Muskies and was not really impressed with the fight from 6 of them, the other 2 were pretty good. I did catch a 30 pound carp last year an...

Interesting Muskie Site

While cruising the Musky sites I came upon this one that was very informative.
Love the "Live Release Honor Roll" plaques.

What a great weekend, the weather was awesome the whole weekend and the fish co-operated, well not the Lakers but the Walleye and Pike were hitting hard. Marten River was lower than I have seen in 30 years, apparently they haven't had much rain and Wicksteed Lake is very low, which means there wasn'...

Hey Moosebunk and Mick
It sounds like you are both telling me basically the same thing, so I will have to use a few of the Walleye minnows and get up real early.
Thanks for the advice, wish me luck and I will bring back lots of pics.
Ciao for now!!

Marten River Lake Trout

I have booked at Marten River Lodge this long weekend and while speaking with the owner he told me that the lake trout are up shallow. I have often seen the lakers on the fishfinder in the summer but they are really deep and I have never targeted them. Could someone give me some advice as to how to ...

Couchiching Pike Tournament

Well, I did my first Tournament yesterday up at Couchiching. I was very surprised at how clear and shallow the water was. We were seeing Pike swimming right by the boat in 3-4 ft of water but they would not hit anything. I had a 45" at least follow my HJ Firetiger but then right near the boat, ...

Not too many responses about this lake.
Either everyone here is in the Tournament or nobody knows this lake at all.
Anyway, if anyone else can help me out with some advice on spots or even just a location where I can find a map with depths, I would be forever in your debt.

If so, good luck.
