Re: Looking For a Partner to Join FLW Shootout Bass Tourname
You'll have no issues with or without using your boat in any of the Shootout events. You're right about the cost, at $200 per team it's a great way to fish competitively and not really care where you end up on the scoreboard. Anything can happen and as a guy who just started fishing tournaments last...

Re: Was any one on Mississippi lake yesterday?
I'm on that body of water nearly twice a week, it's conveniently close to my house. Because it is such a shallow body of water, I find once the weather heats up, the bite just drops off. I know there are plenty of bass to be had, but I'm also not patient enough to sit in the the long grass for hours...

Re: Outboard travel covers
These covers are just for the cowling of the engine? Or do they cover up the entire lower end as well? I live on a dirt road and never considered protecting the lower unit from dirt and debris. Also wondering if any of you guys place your motor in gear before hitting the highway to prevent the prop ...

Muskrat Lake
Trying to get up to Muskrat Lake near Cobden for the first time and looking for somewhere to start for fish. Apparently there is a lot of rock features in that area for smallmouth, just wondering what the rest of the lake is like for fishing.

Re: Trolling motors
I've got a Powerdrive V2, and the deployment isn't as 'convenient' as a cable released unit or auto-deploy of some of the higher end Minn Kota motors. I added the iPilot to mine last year and I love it. Even with the remote, you can still make adjustments while fishing and the extra room from not ha...

Re: Bow Mounted Fish Finder
Just a suggestion but the 788ci would be a great unit to use the us2 sonar with. So move the 788 to the bow and then purchase another unit for the console? As of right now the 788 is on a RAM mount, so it gives me ability to turn it facing the front. I find it a little difficult to read due to tryi...

Re: Bow Mounted Fish Finder
All good info, thanks for the up to date details. It'll save me time for sure when looking to add another unit to my boat. I currently have a Hbird 788ci HD Combo GPS mounted on the console, so adding a more recent model is something I would like to do up front.

Bow Mounted Fish Finder
Just wondering if anyone is running a second fish finder on their bow. I have a Minn Kota powerdrive V2 up front and I know it has a universal transducer compatible with quite a few units that are out there. Just thinking about adding a straight non-GPS unit, would a side imaging unit be better? Any...

Re: Minn Kota Talon
I get this topic has not had any replies in a while, but instead of jumping into something new....figured I would just ask here. Where did most of you guys buy your Talons? I know there are a lot of online options to buy and just looking to get the best price.....I know the CDN dollar is in the toil...
