Re: Lake Trout
Muskrat Lake is a great spot, and one you can hit once the ice is out. From early April into the middle of May, I have had luck flatlining Berkley Flicker Shads (white) around 1.5 to 1.7MPH....As the water warms, down riggers are great.

Ottawa Fishing Show/Expo
Hi everyone, I've been quiet lately with kids and trying to convince my wife to buy a new boat, but things are looking better so stay tuned. I had a questions I thought members here could help out with. Going back 5, 10, 15 years, I seem to recall there was once a fishing show/expo that was in town,...

Re: Late/Second Spawn Bass?
We are in the same area as Round Lake and Lake Clear, we just have not seen it quite like this before. We have a ton of fry swimming around so I am not too concerned at all but this is the first time I can remember this many bass this late into the season on nests.
Thanks for the info lads.

Late/Second Spawn Bass?
Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone is seeing second or late spawn bass? We are seeing quite a few bass still on nests, or possibly on nests for a second time, we aren't quite sure. We have caught a few of them and they don't appear to have any eggs in them yet protect the nests as they would have a ...

In-dash or Gimbal mount Sonar
As we very slowly start looking at boats, I came away from the Boat Show with one question. Do you prefer an in-dash sonar/GPS or one on a Gimbal mount, or mounted on the dash, and not in? I checked out a few boats with in-dash sonars and they seemed low for my taste, as though I have to look down t...

Re: "Shark" in Lake Ontario
They go get Greenland sharks up the St. Lawrence in the winter time. Wouldn't be too surprising if one year one made it's way down a little further, still a long trek though

Re: Which Crucial to buy?
Found it and picked it up from Ed...I ended up with a 7’6” Crucial Medium action extra fast tip and for a great price. Should get a good workout this weekend! Thanks again Ed!

Which Crucial to buy?
I am debating a new rod after a tough season last year and am looking at a Crucial; from everything I have heard I think I want to go with a Crucial. My questions is which one do I buy. I need a spinning version to cast senko's and tubes and troll crankbaits (like Berkley Flicker shad's 5/16 oz, and...

Re: Voting today
I think the same thing Peter, one day when I am bit older I would totally love to run although unless the parties all change I would have to start my own; a true centrist party would win hands down and be the best for everyone, imo.

Re: Voting today
Whatever happend to the days when people were engaged by a leader and actually wanted to, not only vote, but pay attention and listen and feel as though what mattered to them actually mattered to the politicians as well? Sad state of affairs indeed between all of the parties. I think we need that en...

Re: Great newa from Navionics
Didn't they do this once before a couple years ago, albeit without the sonar, and the Feds made them take it off their website. Do they own their own maps now so they can post online? Pretty sweet indeed though. Thanks for sharing.

Costco Ice Shelter $160
Not sure of the make but Costco Kanata had some pretty large Ice Shelters yesterday for $160, I think they were 4 man.

Re: 36 inch pike or musky follow?
As for pike or musky, could have been either, I have caught both doing figure 8's after a follow, as well as multiple bass on and 1 walleye! Just head back out when you can and keep trying, one day it'll hit and give you the right answer.
