Re: Central Frontenac Opener

Awesome report Corvus! I was out last weekend but didn’t have much luck! Hopefully with walleye and picks open now the bite will pickup!

look at the mnr stocking list,,,thats a great start.
Do you know how to access the lists in Quebec? Are they online like in Ontario or do you have to request them?

Backlakes - Ice??

Hey Y'all,

Wondering if the ice has begun to melt on some backlakes? Looking at getting out this or next weekend and would be great if some lakes are open!

Thanks!

Re: Shirley's Bay 2022 Ice season

This group is awesome. I have been a member on this site since 2014 and I have to say it is great to see such a great group of anglers giving great advice. I am part of other fishing groups and there is nothing but negativity on almost every post but with this site it really feels like a true fishi...

Re: No More GAS!!!

I've got the clam drill plate, with a Swede-bore Fin 3 auger all powered by my 18v Ridgid Brushless (which was $129 on sale). It's light, fast and I can drill about 12 holes through 14" of solid ice with battery life to spare. I did it once this season already. I'd never go with a gas auger aga...

Re: Indian Lake for splake

Good question...Does anybody know how the ice is on this lake? Any areas to avoid...I was thinking of contacting indian lake marina as they have been helpful in the past with access, although it was $$ (approx $50 for the day). If I were to access in that area, does anybody know how the ice would be...

That’s interesting…I thought I’d have a good shot at some tonight, but only caught walleye and perch tonight! Maybe you are right…

Re: Shirley's Bay 2022 Ice season

CClad is right, over the years I've caught quite a few 3-5lb Ling at Shirleys. Near full moon always best, and I believe there will be a full moon in three days.

Re: Shirley's Bay 2022 Ice season

Was out yesterday on the bay. Ice is plenty thick 12-13" of solid black ice. SUVs were quite a ways out, and a couple of trucks as well. One note, right now it is glare black ice, it would be worth it to bring some cleats. Also, any of my fellow Shirley's Bay fisherman want to support a dream? ...

Landed this PB Ling, it is 28 inches long and beat my previous PB (2016) by an inch.
