i agree happy hooker! especially the Ottawa river. i should add i was wearing a float suit and with a fire cheif who has experience with ice rescue. he assured me 4-6 inches and we arrived to find 3. breifly wet the lines and got out of there..
a few more inches though

3-3.5 inches. most holes were 3. kept to the right and didnt very out far. managed to get into 10 ft depth. couple little perch..
i wouldnt recomend anyone venturing out just yet. (said the hypocrit)

im pretty sure males usually move on to spawning grounds before the females, keep at it and the fat females may move in. I often fsh the same area!! lots of smaller eyes and rarely see a 2lb+ but they are there.

clear water go natural colors, stained or murky water go bright is usally a guidline.
and white is also a go-to for me.

ive noticed usually people try to send all this sort of info private becouse it actually leads to overfishing of the lakes mentioned. i often see people will post the ministry website and afew hints on where to go and, then keep the lake names in pm's. If you guys could delete some of the info event...

dows is great, there are alot of area's with space to fish from shore and not be snagging cyclists. i would avoid fishing from colonol by dr. though as it is all bike path right upto the water.
