Just thought at this time of year it would'nt hurt to have a look at this :shock: .This guy goes thru the ice to show how to survive.

Well I learned a few things that I did not know. You can survive a little while in cold water. Huh interesting...Great video very imformative.

Was that a floater suit??? or just big winter jacket??

If that video is for real, and it sure looks like it, that was exceptionally good information for ice anglers. :shock:

I have sent the link to my sister-in-law who was a top-ranked researcher (PhD/MD) into cold weather effects on the human body and did this kind of research all over the place. I am highly interested in her take on the video, and I am guessing she knows the researcher who is the guinea pig. Human physiology in cold weather sports is not exactly a huge research area in Canada..............

I will post her reactions. In the meantime, I am believeing what I saw. :idea:

ps back to almontefisher, no that did not look like a floater suit to me, but the guy obviously had good clothing, and layers of it too!

I hosted a class of thirty Queens' University Outdoor Education students for a day of ice fishing a couple weeks ago. That video was their pre-experience study material. :wink:
