What we do for a living (2004 post)

Post by Ricc »

As a new member I went to page 7 where this question was asked. What I do may help out some of you. I work for the Federal Gov't in Crown Assets. What we do is sell of all assets that the government does not want any more and a lot of the stuff, especially from Fisheries and Oceans may be good for some of you. I'll give you an example, last fiscal year on behalf of F & O we sold Boston Whalers, Masons, McKees, aluminums some on trailers, motors, cars, Jeeps, compressors, trailers, office furniture, you see it at a Federal sight and eventually it ends up for sale through us. I have nothing to gain here but it may be worth your while keeping your eyes on the web site. Go to - http://crownassets.pwgsc.gc.ca, click on "What's for Sale", then on "Tender Items" and choose the Ontario Region or any of the other Regions that you see and browse the items, you may eventually see something that you were looking for all your life. How about tools, we have on there right now a lot of mixed tools available at CFB Trenton, new they were worth $27,000.00, the question is, what are they worth to you as a potential bidder. You'll find me as a rep on the Ontario Region site so if you have any questions, give me a call.

Hey thanks for the tips and welcome. Just to let you know, you have to remove the comma after gc./ to work.

Cheers

Glad to be able to pass it on guys, after all, we all paid for the stuff (taxes) so you should be able to get a bargain for your investment. Tinbanger, by your name you may be interested in that Grinder located at CFB Borden.

On a serious note though, there's some great opportunities to be had if you follow the link above.

Try Rideau Auctions also.

They sell off a ton of our old vehicles.
