The 2014 Renegade Bass live release tournament season kicks off this weekend with qualifier # 1 on Newboro Lake. It has been 4 years since Renegade Bass visited Newboro Lake. Gary Rayner and Mark Robinson won the event back in 2010 with 17.62 lbs and a 6.29 lb monster fish was brought to the scales by Paul Shibata and Craig Lister. Reports from the water are mixed as fish are in a challenging post-spawn pattern. Over $16,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs and if a team registered for the entire series wins the event they will receive an automatic berth into Classic XIX.
Competitors will blast-off at 7:00 am and return for the 4:00 pm weigh-in emceed by Just Fishing's "Big" Jim McLaughlin. Drop-by the weigh-in at the Newboro locks and see who can develop a winning pattern. Live results and streaming video from the weigh-in will be available on www.RenegadeBass.com.
