Good time of the year to have another look or new look at the Hunting territory of yours.
The advantage of being able to analyse a Map, not only can get you to and from, but also understand the game's environment. Not to mention enabling you to navigate with more ease in that part of the woods.
For those hunting in QC, I recommend the following places to purchase your maps. You can buy a topographic map for the contour elevation in color, and you can purchase the Éconforestière Map that provides you with the clusters, over the contour lines, of the tree species. The latter enables you to pin-point the potential bedding & feeding areas of game. It's a well know fact that the Big Bulls attract the females to their feeding sites. Finding these spots in the Forest can make it or not for a particular season. Of course knowing how to use various techniques depending if its prior the Rut, of during, or after are added tools. But performing the latter in the right areas, sure increases your chances.
