Sounds about right. That's just about the same time I was able to get Bacon out of bed! :lol:

Nice fish guys! I'm worried for the gar now that Markus has figured out how to hook them. :wink: Good luck to WIG and Markus tomorrow, as if you'll need it, I think we all remember Muskrat :D

Hey RJ... lets go Gar fish'n. I'm sure we can get one bigger then my 52" from the spring. Stinger hooks on 80lbs power pro should do it.

Bacon, 46" gar ... once you get that thing stuffed, it's so big, you could use it for your bathtub curtain rod.
Here's me, just a little jealous. :cry:
Snag, get yours stuffed and we can use it to play lawn darts. 8)

WIG, you are going to have a fantastic time when you go see MarCus (that spelling for my attack at being called Snagglepuss), PL and the kids! This is definitely the most fun I've had fishin! They really make you feel at home and serve you real hearty breakfasts! We didn't catch an enormous amount of fish, but after that trophy and seeing Gars for the first time, it was just incredible. It was also my first time fishing on the great lakes. Markus has a perfect set-up too; we fished two different Great Lakes in two days!

We already started planning our next trip down for the next summer and I’ll be looking forward to it!

Only if I can go to Quinte……… I better start planning

I had a blast....in the words of WIG Wahoo!!!
Snagglepuss and I took the train to Woodstock where Marcus picked us up. We scurried back to his place witth a quick stop to pick up some Wine and Beer for the evenings..Markus had the kids with him when he picked us up (they are so cute...and fearless). While at the liquor store we found PL at the same mall picking out her weekend clothing...
We piled in and headed home....Quite the set upthey have there...beauty house...lots of land and a few lizzards..that surprised me... 8)
Got in the house and met Wilson...thier Dog a beautiful Newf and Itchy thier budgie. We talked till it was time to hit the hay. PL had to work in the morning and Hailee thier oldest had ballet so we didn't get going until about noon....let the record show Snagglepuss and I were ready at the crack of dawn... :?
We wetted lures for hours amongst the quiet cries of Pappa...I'm hungry...Pappa can we go fast...man thier cute. Snaglepuss had them crawling and playing with her for hours on the bow of the boat!! They just loved her! Whe we got going these two got up and just bounced with the waves...daredevils I tell ya!! Unfortunately we didn't get anything Saturday..but I am lucky to be able to just enjoy the weather the water and the company regardless of the bite...and they were all fantastic...
Sunday, once again Snaglepuss and I were ready to go at dawn but PL had a date with a Gym..or was it a Jim..I dunno..and Markus was sawin logs so we let him sleep...or something like that... :wink:
Just the thre off us on Sunday...and well you know the rest of the story....uhm..ah...sort of...
There were two people kinda rubbin it in that they had caught Gar and I hadn't....especially the little less hairy one.... :shock:
I said it would be sweet justice now if I hooked onto a big one after all the insensitive comments :cry: . .I have feeling too ya know...

Whammo... :shock: :shock: :shock: :P :lol: :shock:
Happy day Happy day...see first post from here....

I must say though that this was a team effort...I had decided to stay with artificials...and tried may different combinations....the Snagglepuss said try the white grub as she had two tails bitten off...and of course MarCus came up with the trailerhook Idea! Getting it in the boat though was another story...Thanks MarCthat was one awsome manuver!! I now have my first Trophy!!

Headed back the the homestead..picked up a flick....and bang it was morning and time to leave :cry:

We loved these guys!!! Any person or animal in thier family is always welcome in my home on my boat or near my person. I can't say enough.
We (Snag and I) Talked about them on the way home....bottom line...they made us fee like we were welcome...and at home in thier home. There is not a less selfish thing you can do!

OK, no fair. Looks like Bacon used his Martian powers to catch that thing. You forgot to hide the antenna before taking the picture

I said what the heck are you talking about..went back and had a look..too funny!!
