Just what the title says....anything and everything related to Rods, Reels, Terminal Tackle, Plastics, what others are using, what works, what doesn't work, and anything else you want to talk about regarding equipment.
I lost a Jackall last year up a tree and I could see it but could get to it and it bugged me all year. With the water levels low, I wanted to see if it was still there which it was so up a tree I went and got it back!
Other than a little fading which seemed to turn it from green to blue-ish and some rusty hooks, it seems to be in excellent shape. I couldn't leave a $16 lure in the tree.

Is that the SV spool I see in there?
The RCS1016 spool has found a new home
Looks good.
One thing though, hate to break it to you but the RCS1016 spool only comes with the USDM T3 1016. The MX spool is no slouch though and will preform very well.

Shiznit, that's right....I'm always thinking it's the 1016

My boat came with a rear deck that was only 12'' wide. I don't know why they would even put it in and most of my buddys wouldn't even stand on it. I put in an L shape deck. Used 3/4'' pressure treated plywood.
That looks good man, I did something similar with my boat, but to make room for a pair of batteries. The thing is, after doing a little reading I discovered that pressure treated wood shouldn't be around aluminum. There's a lot of copper in it and when it gets wet water can leech out the copper and when that water comes into contact with aluminum it can radically accelerate corrosion on aluminum. My boat being only a year old at the time, that made me kinda nervous.
I had two choices. Seal the wood somehow, most places recommended sealing it with epoxy, or just use some other plywood, preferably marine grade. I wound up scrapping my piece made with pressure treated wood and using regular plywood. I figured it would be a lot easier replacing a hunk of wood than whatever chance there was of dealing with unwanted corrosion.

Thanks for the heads up. I wish I had of known that before I started. I actually though marine plywood and pressure treated were the same thing. I think i'll be ok sense none of my deck is actually touching any aluminum other than the ring I welded on the seat post, which I'm not to worried about. I can make another one of those quite easily. From what I have read it is most likely to corrode if the wood is in direct contact with the aluminum. I will be keeping an eye on it though. Jon
