New here and hoping to learn a ton

Post by IcemanRic »

Hello All. Grew up fishing Lake Erie, Detroit River, Lake St. Clair. Tons of action and just about every type of fish you could imagine. Now living in the Ottawa area and looking to learn as much as possible about the are to take the grandsons (9,6) out to experience the thrill of fishing.
Love to help anyone fishing in the areas where I grew up up. We caught everything form carp to muskie to salmon to trout and just about everything in between.
At present we will be shore fishing and just want the kids to experience the thrills.

This could help you out with the kids come summertime. Someone did up a map showing shore fishing spots in Ottawa and mostly surrounding area.

Welcome! I was strictly a shore fisherman up until this fall (got my first boat at 17), so I know of a few places you might want to try. If you want I'd be happy to PM you some of my main shore spots.
