Catfish Mississippi Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

On the actual lake itself, I have fished it once, and it was frozen  I know the river holds a large number, and size of cats, but for the lake I wish I could help :?

Hi Snofrog:

Dunno if you have some confused. I haven't heard of Catfish being caught on Miss. Lots of bullhead caught.

Use the free launch at Conc.9A, go to the mouth of the stream until you hit the lake. Find some mud (lots of it), drag the anchor around for a bit, anchor up and fish.

We have taken lots just at Grasshopper point at the mouth of that creek. Sanctuary behind the island so be careful. Likewise up the Miss River inflo.

Night fishing pretty much required.

Hope this helps.

If someone doesn't answer your post, its usually because they don't know. Lots of helpful folks here.

Regards: Jigs.
