White Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

White Lake

Post by Hot Carl Jr »

Hey everyone,

I'm going to be renting a boat on White Lake this Friday and was hoping someone would have some info on good spots and lures/bait to use. I'll be in the pickerel bay area, at least to start. I only get out a few times a year so any info to make this a successful outing would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.

We fished around Waba Is last weekend and it was so-so for pike, no walleye's and some OOS. The pike that were caught were shallow (3-6ft).
There are few problems in life which can not be solved with a well-placed, high-explosive projectile.

Thanks for the reply Saskie. I guess we'll concentrate on the shallow areas for pike. Hopefully the slightly warmer weather will turn them on a little.

Hey Bud,

Don't limit yourself to the shallows, try trolling crankbaits in about 10-15ft as well, last thursday I picked up 4 pike in about an hour, all were about 2 pounds, at the opening of three mile bay, many pike to be had in those areas.

Cheers,

MH

Thanks MH. I'll be sure to try some trolling as well and try to get to the mouth of three mile bay at some point. Thanks for the tip.
