If you used Bark Lake as home base, you wouldn't have to travel many miles to find small Speckle lakes!BASSSTALKER wrote:TS, I would expect you to take me to a gold mine like that , cuz I probally would'nt take anyone either.![]()
I'm just glad to know there are lots of places like that out there. I'll find one like that one day....

Well...
To be honest with you... I thought the speck was quite pale and when it first came close to the boat still under water I thought it was a bow...
When we had it out, I noticed it had little colors compared to what I'm used to on the QC side but figured it may have been due to it being a stocked fish. Then again no way I could tell if it was stocked as no fins were clipped.
Either way it was tasty
I have been told that this lake is stocked with speckles and know of folks that have caught specks in there.
Bassstalker... I have found some other splake lakes we can hit up shortly.
TS: I want to go where you go
Those are some nice fish

Actually, I'd have thought it was a Bow if not a Brookie. Sure is lightly colored for a Speck. Like to see it a little closer...TroutSlayer wrote:Nice fish Carlco, but I think you have a Splake there, I don't see the black separating the orange and white on the fins!
I would need to see the tail to be 100% sure!
See photo below!
But as they say, nice fish all the same

Heading out Monday for 5 days of Specks and Lakers....Weeee Ha
