lake kaminiskeg helpp????
Hi all Just have a few questions about the lake. I am in a tournament there opening weekend and having only fished the lake twice could use some help. I don't need spots or lures i have had some success there. Just wondering if the bass will still be on the beds or will they in there summer haunts by then. And also I was wanting to make the trip to conroys marsh but don't know how safe it is or exactly where for that matter. Is there anything to hit once I enter the mad. river? And how far past the combermere bridge is the marsh?

I can't tell you much - it's been years since I've been there. I don't recall any hazards not obvious to the sensible boater. However, there's always the possibility of downed trees and sunken logs coming near the surface. These things happen on most bodies of water, so I'd assume you'd know to be on the lookout. It seemed like a long run to the lake from where we stayed in Combermere, but that was with an old glass boat with a 35. It didn't sem to be worth the trip, but we just touched the lower end and fished a couple of shoals. We did better in the river. Caught a 5 lb. LM off a laydown opposite Harry's place. The marsh was just downnriver a bit. I remember it more as a pike hangout. If you've fished the lake before, I'd suggest you concentrate there and save the running time to a place unfamiliar
