Mosquito madness

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Well, I took some of your advice and was practicing not breathing but I don't think the dizziness and blackouts I experienced will be very safe out on the water.

Seriously, we won't have any kids with us so that isn't a concern. I have some Muskol 100% Deet and OFF with 25% Deet. I was also reading about something made by Sawyer that you spray on your clothes and it kills the mosquitos. I guess I will just have to lather up and hope for the best.

Is the only bad time in the evenings and night? The mornings always seem pretty good.

Eat lots of oranges, and, no, orange juice spiked with vodka won't work the same.

Make sure to wash your hands before touching any of your gear. Especially your line or cork handles. The Muskol 95% is awesome but I have seen it peel the finish of a paddle during a camping / canoe trip I was on when I was in School.
