Gambler Ugly Otter

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Crazyfisherman: I Texasrig them with as little weight as I can get away with and a 3/0 Owner J hook. Lots of action. We have also put them on a flipping jig. Had no success that way but they looked real good.

Rig

I like to rig both these baits with Eagle Claw's HP hooks and a bullet sinker.

The Otters drop a lot slower since all the the paddle tails turn when falling. The Beavers slide quickly through most cover.

Both baits are good for about one fish as the head tears apart.

I would go with the SB.
