RJ Collegiate School of Musky Angling....
Bacon...LOL I said the exact same thing on the way home!
It was an awsome afternoon on the water...weather was great. I'm not overly upset about not getting one of those beauties. I did manage to soak up a little sun and we didn't get soaked by rain and wind so in my books that's a good day for me.
I must say, my husband being the gentleman he is did offer to hand his musky off to me to let me fight it but something about that just doesn't seem right to me.
I'm not giving up yet...I'll be back...like maybe even this Saturday! See ya's all there!

I'm not worthy of a muskie first time out regardless who takes me fishing. RJ knows the first 500 of my 10000 casts for this fish were real messy and dangerous attempts at slinging big hooks for prized fish.RJ wrote:I'm still really bummed about yesterday..........I tried everything to get Moosebunk onto a fish......but it just wasn't meant to be for us....
I went over the day in my mind at least 10 times today.....and if I had to do it again I probably do 80% of it all over again.....sometimes it just doesn't happen.....
I was thrilled to see Saskie's boat put a few aboard........You guys never hear of Ladies first?...

Birdee and I talked tonight.....I have to perform a exorcism on the Meat Boat...her Muskie Kryptonite is obviously still entrenched in it...![]()
Great report.....and we'll see yas on Saturday....![]()
RJ
What I left that day with was better than any fish. Bill and Rob are two stand up tell it like it is great fishing dudes, and I could tell that the two of them have a good friendship as well. It was definetely my pleasure meeting these two and spending the afternoon on the water, and man, even though no muskie for me I came away knowing alot more...... Rob, I was throwing a moss boss this morning for slop largies at my honey hole and managed 5 fish with the baitcaster. If you and I hadn't of made these plans that outfit would be back in the closet at home. Glad you made me learn to use the thing, finally.
It was a fantastic day to be out sunday. Meeting Salmon and the Saskie's X2 as well as MT and RJ.... awesome. Can't thank yas enough for the invite. Hope I can get out again with youz down the road.
This vacation is stretching my energy level like nothing I've ever experienced and I've still got FF and his plans to deal with. Need meds soon.
Going to try and salvage the pics from the first part of the trip. Have got some great fish in the north, and this morning 16 LM, a pike, 7 sunfish and 4 rockies. To take a wizz I set the vest down on a rock to get the waders down and when I finshed the high winds blew the vest into the water. The Digi poured out H2O but the card seemed dry. Camera is still wet and seemingly screwed, I've gotta go golfing with grandma right now, so we'll see what gets posted for pics in the coming weeks.
FF can't wait.
RJ and MT thanks again, truly a fun day on the water no matter how you look at it.
Chris.... the north where I was is tough sledding bud, the Chev's taken a beating and the repairs costly yesterday.
See yas in a few.

We missed Saskie's musky, but we did manage to get over in time to see Salmon hard at work. Nice fish buddy.
