Trout'n - Nov 18th - morning

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Trout'n - Nov 18th - morning

Post by Markus »

I was hoping to meet up with RBR this morning, but he warned me last night his demostic duties may hinder our morning plans. No worries! Lots of time to do it again buddy.

Fishing was tough at daylight. The morning's are definately getting a lot colder. No action for the longest time, but after a change of location I found some hungry fish. I also switched up from using chartruse bags to pink and that seem to help.

3/3 this morning. 2 silver shakers and a nice big male bow.

This fella takes top honors to date for "scrap of the season". For being a dark fish, he was out of the water more than he was in it. I'm just fortunate he decide to stay iin the pool and not bolt down creek.

The creek is extremly clear. Too clear. I saw 2 nice browns and they darted for cover immediately. I wasn't able to fish the shallow runs and was limited to the deeper pockets.

Here's a few green tree pics I snapped for the folks that are experiencing the winter blahs already.

Back it Sunday with Jammer. It'll be nice to be able to devote some extended time instead of having to rush back to the office. :P

Mark,

Great to see you got into them. Sorry I couldn't escape the domestic duties...

Ended up fishing Big Creek hard for most of the day ..rolled one around 4-5 pounds(lousy hook set) but let me tell ya once that snow fell it just shut the fish down. Noone was getting them.

I went to your spot after the Big and crystal clear water as you said...went with the stealth presentation and tried everything but notta! :(

Oh well...it's to warm up and with the snow melt will come a little rise in water again and hopefully we'll be into them again. (been a few outings since I had the skunkeroo..oh well next time!!
:)
