When I started working at my job, I kinda threw out the fact that I liked to go fishing to see if anyone would show interest. One guy did, likes to ice-fish for perch and pike. Goes out a couple times a year with his buddies. He's not black but he is gay, another community that don't breed to many fishermen.

Looking forward to getting out on the ice with him this winter.

But seriously in the past I did fish with Martial Arts Instuctor on a few occasion. He was very serious about fishing, but seems we parted ways and havent caught up to each other lately.

I hesitated for a second when I posted but didn't really see the hurt as I am poking fun at white people; of which I am. Gorwing up my nickname was Hick so I didn't really think twice about it.

I just found it an "interesting" post...it's like hockey I guess...I suppose it is just something that African-Canadian people were never exposed to. The same goes for why so many Asians fish I suppose. I don't know if they have the exposure in China or wherever they hail from but they are exposed to eating alot of fish and in Canada have more opportunity to fish and do so.

When we're looking we'll see stuff, check the Ottawa near Dunrobin, on a nice Saturday in the summer, my friends are mostly "black". they're from Ghana, Singapore, Brasil, Nairobi, States (LA) and Mexico.

I seriously doubt that anyone choosing to fish or not has anything to do with genetics ie skin colour or sexual orientation.

This thread can go nowhere but downhill from here. I am fairly certain that nobody means anything racist or hurtful by their comments but the more that gets said the worse things are gonna get.
