hah
You can say that again!
WIG great report...
My ice fishing experince for trout has been limitted but I may be giving it a shot this weekend.. I have a couple question that could be a big help if answered...
What type of minnows were you using?
Were the majority of fish caught on set lines, or by jigging?
When using a set line do you use a small jig and hook minnow through back so it can swim freely, or do you just use a plane hook?
Have you ever tried using a fly a foot or so above the minnow?
Any help would be awesome..
Thanks in advance...

Just a plain hook, just under the dorsal fin. Accompanied by a small weight.fatluke wrote:

Well That otta improve my odds this weekend... Thanks WIG..
Red bellies have been my bait of choice for the past 8 years or so now.. I used to trap them back home (Belleville) when I lived with my parents... Was going to trap some over the holidays to bring back to Ottawa with me, but forgot that my trap was stolen last winter...
Did you purchase your dace around Ottawa anywhere?
