Meeting people off the net

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

With regard to Big-O...it's those great, friendly guy-next-door types that turn out to be axe murderers. Big-O....

I remember that day.
I remember it well! You know when I started sh*t'n my pants? I'm in the back of Trev's car, Trev & Kev in front, doors locked (automatically?? ). We're on our way back home so it's dark. We stop by the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and they both get out of the car. What's going on??!! P-break!

When they came back in, they said they fully expected me to jump into the front and drive off!

What would they say to the cops? Yeah! this chick we met on a website took our car! Her name is Slushpuppy!

There are more stories out there, I'm sure Mr & Mrs Livewell can pipe in

Do you want to go to Ottawa to go ice fishing for the weekend?" says FFF
"Sure I'm game" says I. As we drive down the 401 and drive through Ottawa I quirey which hotel we are staying at. "Oh, we are not staying at a hotel we are staying at FF's house" says FFF. "Who is FF?" says I. "A guy off the internet" says FFF. "What is his real name?" I ask. "Not sure" replies FFF. Right now I'm thinking F@#$%@%#, F##%^#^. So I proceed to ask him "And where does this FF guy live". He responds with "He told me he lives on the dark side of Ottawa". We are now driving into Quebec - and I say to FFF " We are now in Quebec, does this guy even speak english?" "Oh yeah says FFF, here phone his house to get the last minute directions." So I proceed to phone and I hear "Allo, bon soir." I don't reply - then I get the gull up to say to Rox "Um, we are coming to your place to stay for the weekend, can you tell me which street to turn on?" Anyway the rest is history - and I can't tell you how much fun we had staying at Kevin and Rox's house and the hospitality was out of this world. Couldn't resist sharing the story.

Yes, that's the first time I met Floatfishin'. A fond memory.

And yes, he did put me onto my first ever steelhead.

And yes, the beer was consumed :D
I could almost say that too Bucket, but, it'd be the second time I met him, and my first ever Great Lake Chinny.

I remember getting a strange look from my son one day at Clay Banks launch when a Hawk Talker came over and asked was I Xenos....

Told the Hawk Talker I wasn't Xenos and later had to explain to my son about this board. Sure didn't help my case about him not talking and meeting strangers on the internet
