Petrie Island

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Ice was still plenty thick on the weekend.

You will have to watch for spots where it drained the rain off last week.

We found one spot .... big black ice that had opened up and just barely froze again.

I think there should be good ice right through till season closes at the end of the month.

Just don't go where no one else is.... let the locals show you the way and fish near them... most of them are nice.... :)
