Lost/Stolen tackle Box/Bag - Any info PLEASE!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lost/Stolen tackle Box/Bag - Any info PLEASE!

Post by Chuckles »

hey all!

I've been really busy this summer and haven't posted anything in a long time. I have been fishing quite a bit, maybe will post some pics at a later date.
Yesterday I went fishing at morris island with a kid that I work with. I'm a one on one youth counsellor and I take him fishing whenever his behaviour warrants it. He caught a nice 2 1/2 pound walleye, his first ever, it was great to see him so excited. I would post the pic on here, however due to confidentiality, I cannot. Before we left, I took the pic and somehow :x left my tackle box. (which is really a dark blue flambeau bag) Anyhow, I take the pic and leave, I look in the rearview mirror to see if everything I put down beside the car is in the trunk, ok nothing left behind. However the bag was left at the entrance of the walkway (for those who know morris island conservation area). I go back to the kid's house, finish work, head back home. I decide to get my bag, as I left my watch in there (didn't want to tan with a watch mark) and wanted it back in the house. No tackle bag/box. Man was I pee pee. I drive back to morris island from orleans, get there at about 8pm or a little after. No bag there. I guess I'm hoping that since there are so many Ottawa area fisherpeople that visit here, and hoping that not everyone that finds a FULL tackle box would take it to keep, but take it so that no one DOES take it to keep. It had all my bass, pike, some bigger pike lures. Split shot cylinders, all my jigs for crappies. I'm thinking, probably around $250 to $300 worth of stuff. If anyone has any info or anything regarding someone who has found a tackle box, anything would be greatly appreciated! I've been saving up for a vexilar, I guess now I need to buy some more lures! Thanks

Too bad. Maybe you can put a notice there. If the bag was picked up by a local resident, you have good chance to get it back.
