pike lakes

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

You want a lot of springtime pike, hit Long Point Bay on Lake Erie in April. May 15th it becomes a sanctuary for spawning bass, but before then, get at the pike. Toss bucktails and big spinnerbaits on the weed flats and you'll avoid catching OOS largemouth bass.

If you have a boat with a larger motor and a calm day you can have a stellar day trolling at the sandbar called Bluff's Bar in the outer bay. Just troll the inside of the bar with bodybaits and you'll do well. Small ones and the chance at some real trophies as well.

If you're looking for numbers, don't fish Constance Lake.
Nope, don't do it.
There's no pike at all in Constance Lake.
Constance Lake actually has no pike. Actually, Constance Lake has no fish, but most importantly, no PIKE.
None at all.

Don't ever fish Constance Lake for pike....

Speaking of constance lake... I don't have the best fishing days of my life on that lake right before thunderstorms. You could never catch 30 Pike and Largemouth in 33 casts right as the storm is visible on the horizon. And finally, I certainly havn't been rushing out everytime a storm is forecast in the area. Why waste my time?

I've heard (never fished myself) that Muskrat Lake in Cobden is good for pike. There is a boat lunch off Hwy 17.

Now this lake is not close to Windsor but for Pike it is awsome...Try fishing Mississippi Lake near Innisville...I caught about 30 there this year alone. Now the biggest was 4lbs but hey better than a kick in the...
Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....
It's much more important.
