Best fight, based pound for pound.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

 Badger...tsk, tsk.

I know it's not really fair to compare fresh and salt water species, seeing as most of us aren't fortunate enough to be able to rate both.

Another fishing dream of mine.....sharks.

No offence Bager.

Though in purely saltwater, I've heard pound for pound....baracuda, bonefish and tarpon as Wolfe mentioned. Not in any order, of course. I'm still dreaming of the day and all the species of fish I'd like a chance at.

Freshwater.....well, I've yet to nail my first sturgeon, gotta wonder what one of any considerable size would do to ordinary tackle and the battle that would ensue.

Pickeral Paul - I was comparing the fight of a largie to a smallie. Small largemouth don't put up that decent of a fight, but get a fish over 5, and they sure as heck do. I've had some big largies fight as well as a similar sized smallie. Merely a comparison, bro...

Good Fishing,

Hey Tony, Is that over 5 pounds???....if so you should enter it in the Nickel Club...I think it qualifies regardless of species.
