Nov 26 2006.. Great way to finish off the bass season!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Nov 26 2006.. Great way to finish off the bass season!

Post by Bassmaster »

:D :D :D Well I know bass season isn't officially over yet but for me it pretty well is as I doubt I will be out again this week.

Anyhooo made a phone call to some friends of mine from Hamilton, and we agreed to meet at our spot for some perching.. well the perch didn't get the memo about attending school today...

In fact it looked like I was about to get skunked after 5 hrs of fishing and I was about to give up and leave when I picked my rod up and I thought I had another snag... except this snag started moving!

This is the by far the largest bass I have ever caught in a good long time... especially from shore!

Thanks all... the weather down here has been exceptionally warm and I had heard of bucketmouth's being caught from boats on the body of water I was fishing... so I figured why not try my luck? :D

Hey Bassmaster; nice fish, did it make the 5lb club? It looks like it should have been close. It is always nice to finish the season with a nice catch like that.

Nice one! I made a last-gasp attempt for bass last weekend -- wish I was half as successful as you.

Saw the fish up close and personal :D "thought" it may have gone 4+---only came in at a paltry 3.5  Still a "piggie" regardless----that's my boy :D :D Gord

Thanks guys... Normally my rod is put away for the season by now... but the mild weather extended my season by a month.. if this weather continues into Dec... I will simply target my other fav species...yellow perch! :D
