Anyone checked if there was some ice?

I was there this morning and the ice has a few inches of snow on top.

I would be very carefull t'il it gets a little colder for 3-4 days to even attempt to go on and check the thickness.

BE CAREFULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there might be chance for some remote or covered bay,but forget about big water or ottawa river 95% off it......

we need those -25 for a full week and no snow...

snow is a killer for good ice......

Joco's right snow is no good for ice, acts as an insulator, DOES NOT CREATE SAFE ICE

Just because you see people on the ice always make sure to check conditions yourself

Looks like fishottawa has joined under a new name so since he is all about insults I think its time he is deleted from the site. Its nice when people hide behind their computers and insult people, COWARD pretty much sums it up I think. Oh and by the way Question is not spelled Queation!

Ice just appeared today on the Ottawa at Crown Point. Goes out about 300 meters from our shoreline.

No Almonte is on the outskirts of Ottawa we are part of Mississippi Mills...Yaaaa...I was Ottawafisher in a former life..Yes I remember those days sitting there in the dark getting a bit of light from time to time...The smell was terrible though..made me think of an outhouse...wait ..it was an outhouse..my former life was a turd...

So anyone know about Clayton and how much ice is on it.
