ICE FISHING REPORT
ICE FISHING REPORT
I think we all need to read a report.
Yesterday I went out real early (4am ) with a couple friends of mine to russle up some bows at a small lake just outside Ottawa.
We were on the ice by 6am.
We tested the ice and were happy to see almost 5" of hard ice, none the less we all wore survival suits .
After setting up the hut it wasn't long before the am bite was on , we went 8 for 13 or 14 and had a blast.
I wanted to get some lake pics but my camera was dead ......I did however stop and buy some on THE WAY HOME
Man it felt great to get out .What a beautiful day
Man were they tasty. ate em last night for dinner .
Two nice ones fed my 2 kids , myself and my wife , what a treat

Re: Trout
Yes 9/10 are open Jan 1, we were in division 15 which starts at Arnprior and we were north of that. Only 40 min to Arnprior from Ottawa , worth the drive.SteelHeaderOntario wrote:Seasons Greetings All

Also they are rainbows , which in div. 15 are open year round , brookies are jan 1 in div. 15.
So we were totally legal
I always check the regs , no matter where I go.
