Fishin full of perch...

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Fishin full of perch...

Post by almontefisher »

Well first off I just want to appologize for not having any pic's...forgot the camera  ...anyway I took me nephew who is 13 and his friend to the baitcasters derby...We started fishing at around 8:05am and drilled our first hole at 8:03...at 8:06am we had our first perch of the day, 8:07... 2nd...third...you see where this is going...Anyway since I do not have pics I will make this short...over 50 perch caught today with the average around 3/4lbs...one my nephew caught was 1.19lbs... he placed second in the perch class which won with 1.20lbs. We missed a monster pike which broke the line at the hole estimate at 4lbs and another little one that got off..I brought in a 2.2lbs pike to end the day...Great day and great event. BTS nice to meet ya at the derby.

Sounds like a blast, good to hear you had such good luck. Too bad about the camera and that pike that broke off, but sounds like you had a good time. Thanks for the report.
