Question For All Hawk-Talk Tackle Shops!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Question For All Hawk-Talk Tackle Shops!

Post by Mrtopwater2 »

I am planning on heading to the Sportsmans show in TO next weekend, and I have a list of items I will be looking for. Will any of the following shops be there?

Bait Casters
Paddletales
Bennett's
Bits & Baits
Manotick Baits
Oziiles

PM me for details if you are interested in getting some extra business! Take care all!

Bait Casters won't be at the Toronto Show either - too rich for our blood with the travel and hotels and booth space. We will be at the Carp Show though as well.
If there are certain things you are looking for you may be able to get them locally at just as good a price. I for one would be happy to price stuff for you as I'm sure the other shops would as well.
Let's keep the business local if we can!

Living in a small rural farming community between London and Windsor there aren't any decent shops anywheres within an hours drive so my "local" options are rather limited at this time. But I totally agree, I do pick up the odd thing locally, just wish they had more of the stuff I am looking for so I didn't have to go to the Sportsmans show every year to restock my tackle boxes lol.

The Toronto show is too rich for my blood as well. The Paddletales travelling road show will be in Carp though.

I know what you mean. I prefer to do my own research, but I miss the friendly chat with the store owners. The shop thats local to me they hardly have anything at all, and they would rather look over my shoulder than help me or talk to me. Can't blame them though, they are more of a gun shop than anything. I sure miss living in Lindsay where I had 3 decent shops to choose from and friendly owners to talk to as well. Ahhhh those were the days!

I would be very surprised to see any of the smaller local shops at the T.O. shows. Was there a time where any of you guys used to travel there? Seems like a long way to go.

I will see ya's at the Carp show.
