I remember my first time in the bar there....Kinda scary when the first thing you see when you enter is a sign about no knives etc
He saved my butt though I must admitt....Blew the oilpan seal on my truck....had to drive all the way to the Soo....Long story short....some airplane oil and other crap he had and I was good to go....made it all the way home with no problems....Towing a boat too!!!!

Might be a bit further than you want to go but Red Cedar Lake Camp in Marten River would be a good bet.
Spent time up there a few years ago and they have all the things kids like and some fish too.
Nice cottages, good beach area etc etc and the operators Dave and Betty are great people. They are usually at the Carp show so maybe you should check it out.

Hi Cast-A-Way,
I'd like to recommend to you our lodge. We are a more southern Ontario experience, being just north of Kingston and we are less then 2 hours from Ottawa. Lots of Pike though, and there is a Marina and Tackle shop as part of the lodge buildings to service your boat.

I was wondering how the Pike fishing is ??
When is a good time to go for some action ??
Pike season opens May 12th.
The best Pike fishing is in May and the first two weeks of June. The earlier you can come the better for Pike. And that is not to say that you wouldn't catch pike all season long, but like everything else they go deeper as the water warms up.
