I am off to Key West!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I am off to Key West!

Post by Badger Shark »

Hey guys, I am off to Key West today and then to the Mississippi gulf coast and New Orleans. I hope I can maybe convince my cousin and my buddy to try a little fishing but I doubt they will be up for it. We will be snorkeling on a huge reef out on the Dry Totugas. We are heading to Mississippi on Wednesday to visit some of my mothers friends who are rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the town she lived in and everything she had. It will be my first time back since a week after the storm hit, hopefully they are starting to recover. When I was there last time there was nothing left but total devastation. On Friday we will be going into New Orleans for the day and Saturday begin the drive back finally arriving on Sunday.

Hopefully all the ice will be gone or close to being gone by that time. I cant wait to get my boat out on the water. COME ON WARM WEATHER. Well two days and I will be in 80 deg. weather.

See ya when I get back, maybe one of the hotels will have some computer access and I can check in at some point. :D

Later

Was away in your neck of the woods, so missed this post. Hope you're having a great time. Don't get badger burn (from the sun).

I already wished him a safe fun trip but avoided this thread for pure jealousy. Oh well, weather has been nice here lately, spring is here. A for sure sign is that my neighbors kid is, once again, riding he bike and hitting my parked car in the driveway and laughing her soon to be BBQ'd, @ss off.

I love spring, I love my neighbors, I love kids...(esp. other peoples). Most of all...in the spirit of Key West and the good ol' USA...I love the right to bear arms. (It wouldn't take much firepower to take down a 10 yr. old, would it?

I have to admit that I didn't want to post here (for jealousy) either. [Two more weeks and school's out of the way!!! Well, except for exams I guess.] I can't believe he got to go snorkling again! Wonder if that fish that stalked his cousin came back? But it's good for a guy to get away for a while, even from their worrying wives.

Can't live with 'em, can't get away from them, eh Kpin?

Ummm, yeah BadgerBait....I really miss him. I'm all torn up about it. I'm hopelessly lost and lack direction and motivation, given his vacation to a very nice warm place, where lack of clothing being worn is almost an Olympic sport. Poor guy has to put up with young hotties, almost naked and where miniskirts are considered being overdressed.

Yeah...poor guy.

 Ok...yeah...couldn't keep that bull up for more than 30 secs.
