Lac Du Mont

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lac Du Mont

Post by High Noon »

Hi everyone,

I will be fishing a lake this spring with a bunch of guys from work. It is in the Ladysmith area and is called Lac du Mont. All I know about the lake is that it has Lake Tout in it. Does anyone know if it has any other species in it. Any other info. would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey Highnoon, I think you are talking about Lac Dumont, north of Ladysmith and Otter Lake, if you are then yes good lakers also some bass and some really big pike plus the usual lake chubs, suckers, panfish, bullheads etc. I cant remember if there is any walleye or not, I never caught any anyway, It is a nice lake , I used to have a cottage near there and miss going up there. I heard one report of muskie being in there but I find that doubtful. Good luck

That's the lake. Thanks for the list of fish in it. It gives me a better idea of what to troll or throw at them.

Its not a lake, its a town in Quebec called Val des Monts, but I can see how it could be called Lac du Mont because there is a lake near the town.

It is an actual lake, one of the largest in the area of Otter Lake, it has lakers pike bass and other species, never heard of walleye or muskie though. There is a beautiful beach and camping area.
