SAD news......

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

disgusting what lengths people will go to to get their 15 minutes of fame. i hope people remember the victims names before the one that took them away.

Yes, this is a tradgedy. However, we need to forgive the assasin, and his family as the Amish did in Pensylvania.
Its all about forgiveness.

Sad indeed, the full story has not been uncovered yet, many friends have their children at VT, I pray all are safe, I believe I would have heard by now if anyone I know was in harms way. There were 2 incidents, I'm sure the facts will come out soon but I question why the Univ. didn't lock down after the first shooting. I saw on the news that it was thought to be domestic violence but it should have been investigated further. What a shame! Joe.

What a shame for sure!!! I was in shock when I heard about that on the news last night. Hopefully the investigation will clear up a bit of the "WHY'S"

My heart goes out to those students and parents. Couple of kids from my church go there, they're both okay. I just got back this weekend from visiting Old Dominion University here in Virginia with my daughter. As a parent with a kid off to college next year this really shook me up.

So, so sad. I pick-up my two boys at school (7yrs. / 10yrs.) My wife and I make sure the news is not on. During dinner time we have a family talk with them trying to explain to them what happened. We have tried to shelter them from these things in the past and it doesn't work anymore. They hear things at school or from there friends. So, it's better to here it from us. We answer there questions as best as we can. At bedtime we hug them just a little longer and a little tighter. The next day I drive them to school and again I hug them a little longer and a little tighter. Tonight, hug the people in your life just a little longer and just a little tighter and think of how lucky we all are. My thoughts and prayers go out to the people in the Virginia Tech. community.

Hey joco and fish-hawk family this event is just a total disaster that I just can't understand why it happened. :shock:How we stop this in the future is anyone's guess. :?: I just can't understand how someone in his line of friends or in the university setting didn't see this coming before now. I would think after all the talk of how this guy seemed to be such a loner and such a loser to so many people that this just seem to be a normal course of action. I am truely sorry for all the families that have to deal with such a disaster   As much as I hope that this will be the last time we hear of such a disasterous outcome, I know deep in my heart that it will not be the last time we hear this.

 Yes what a disaster and a tragedy. it's hard to fathom. re forgiving, sorry bud, but I think our willingness to forgive so easily is what gets us into these terrible messes in the first place. This person showed all the signs that he would do something terrible like this, and of course we forgave him and look what happened. Maybe if society had refused to forgive him for trying to burn down his dorm, or stalking female students,or threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend or writing stories soo frightening that his teacher had to call the police or, or, or.then just maybe this person would be in jail or a mental institution right now and we would not even be talking about this

FORGIVENESS!...what a joke, that POS should have been jailed or put back on a boat. He gave all the warning signs of being a menace to innocent people and life in general!!!

I'd hate to be a family member of a victim seeing someone telling others we need to forgive him!! what a complete joke of a statement that was.

Internet religious pedestal...jeesh :?
