Great opener on Quinte...
Tough weekend for most as boat control and presentation speed was key. The winds had the fish scatted and on the move. The boat traffic also pushed the walleye off the deep breaks away from the drifters and jiggers.
Trolling spinners with 3 and 6 oz bouncers produced well the first day as fish where pinned to bottom. Fishing down 10 feet over 26 feet of water with in-line boards was the ticket on the second day. Went 46 over two days with one just shy of 10lbs and many in the 5 to 7lb range. Had to use tattle flags as the walleye would hold onto the worm and not turn...had to feed them line until they took the bait. Also with the warm water temp I was covering water quickly in the 1.7 to 2.2 mph trolling speed range.
Quinte is truly a fish factory, we are very lucky to have a fishery like that so close to home.

Aw man, I tied on a bouncer and never finished rigging it.
Should have gone with my instincts
