Kashwakamak Lake

I am looking likely going to be renting a place on this lake for a week in July. I received a rental contract and it specifically identifies that renters should get a hydro map as there are submerged rocks. I know that a group from here went up there last year and I vaguely recall someone posting about hitting something. Does anyone have a hydro map for this lake? Is it littered with submerged rock because if it is I do not want to be running around the lake in a new boat. I'm going in July and the water is likely to be lower than it was when the group went up last year which was in May if I remember right.

Any help is appreciated.

Mick, I've only fished this lake once over 15 years ago, and the most memorable thing about it was an incredibly annoying jet skiier that seemed hell bent on making sure we noticed him. (I do recall it was a pretty lake, as well.)

I hope someone can give you some help with this one, because it is intimidating having a new boat on a lake that's known for trouble spots. Smart of you to check things out in advance...

Hey Mick,

Yes, a group of us went to Lake Kash for the opener last year. Weeds were scarce, on opposite sides of the lake but going in July, it'll be a dif. cup of tea for you.

If mem serves me correctly, MrJ. snagged that unmarked spot roughly mid-lake. There are no other danger areas I rem. that aren't marked off.

Dead center is eye heaven, from what we were told but it rained almost all weekend and the fishing was HARSH! Best of luck, look forward to the report!

just came from here on long weekend,we went out in boat only 2X cuz of windy sunday,but saw hardly any rocks and the lake is very very clear,some shallow spots and the narrows is where to troll for the eyes,we landed two nice keepers.....just ask regulars they will point you to the safe routes

we camped at woodcrest campground right on the lake itself
