Boat Launching On Rideau

Is there any public launches around Manotick and Osgoode area that you don't need to pay?

Yes there is a launch right in Manotick. It is right next to the bridge that goes across the river right at the pool.

Also there is two launches that I use in KARS. One int he back of the RA centre and the other one in the opposite direction right on the Rideau. Use the one behind the RA if is set up as you have to park at the RA center for both launches.

Check out this MNR site on urban fishing in Ottawa. It has the location a several boat launches in and around Ottawa.

Unless it is new I thought you had to pay in Manotick at the bridge.

Craif Reeves by the 416 bridge is a good free launch.

You may be right. I only used it once and it was late fall and I can not remember if it was free or donation.

Coming to my neck of the woods aye ! lol
The Kars RA is a good one for what you might be looking for. It is fairly easy for you to get to. You are nicely out of the wind when you launch and there is ample free parking. I was one of the orignal buiders of this launch way back when. Let me know when you are going perheps we can meet up
