Putting transom trolling motor to front of boat

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Bow Mount Adapter

Post by FatRap »

Hi Nodie...

I made this mount for my 14 ft tinny. Problem was that there was not enough room beside the 9.9 to install the transom mount.

I used a Galvanized Dock fitting ( will not rust ) and Zinc coated hardware to attach it to the boat. The 90 degree bracket is very sturdy and has virtually no flex. Two layers of 3/4 inch plywood make up the mount plate. I used exterior verithane to finish it. I am sure you could use this idea on your bow for the transom mount motor. I would be glad to answer any questions you may have on this.

Good Luck.
