Hi... i'm sorry i can't come to the phone right now....

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

....CAUSE I'M OUT FISHIN'  Hit the water with Ratsotail yesterday. Man what a difference in air temps from Wednesday's scorcher  Did'nt really see alot of wildlife activity or roadkill on the way to the lake, which sometimes is an indication of what kind of fishing day we're gonna have.

Winds were already up before we got to the lake and would continue to scream for the entire day. Target fish: Anything that would bite in these less than favourable conditions

I explain the finer points of holding up his catch for the camera :P Ahhhh....much better!

I released this little golden fella as a token of appreciation to the fish gods.

Ratso with a smaller one....he had many on the day....some real nice ones too....all eyes but one, was kept(not this one)

Image

My best gator of the day!......all 47 inches of her!!.....OK...OK...I lied  More like 30" but fought like a trophy.

Ratso with another nice eye!

Oh yeah.... i forgot....it's Bass season dontcha know   I never caught any snorters on the day but had a ton of small ones come to the boat. Ratsotail had 2 of the biggest Bass on the day, one largie and one smallie, but they were more than camera shy.....not to mention i always get excited and in the throws of the battle i apply lots of pressure on Ratsotail not to lose the fish  Here's my bestest Bass of da day

Image

Took a break in the afternoon for a bite to eat and to strectch our legs. We did a little dippin' dunkin' doodlin' on the dock slips for some Crappie.

Image

Image

Considering the day we were having, we thought the evening bite would be good.....well it was luke warm at best, so as the lake finally calmed down we used these conditions to our advantage(line/lure control) to fish for some more Crappie :D :D

Image

Image

Well.....that's what kinda day we had and cough...cough....it's sure beats workin
Image

Image

Oh.....i thought i'd share this bruiser of a sunny 'D'..that i tamed while tossing around a jerkbait. Never got the pic' on time cause Ratsotail has been real stingy with sharing the pic's from his camera as of late :P

Later!

Did I miss a name change somewhere down the line? :) :) What prompted that Andrew (formerly known as Tip Up)?

Huge sunfish! It looks like an excellent day with excellent variety. I'd love to learn how to catch crappie in the summer.

OK Slop you definitely have the most unique avatar of anyone now...and I have to fish with this guy!  Is that what one would call an Up Doo?

Life is good when you can just about catch every species in a lake that it has to offer! I don't know about the rest of the board, but I really enjoy fishing for something and catching everything vice targeting one species. If there is a tactic that Slop and I have refined well together it's taking what the lake has to offer each day and not being locked into one type of fishing.

I can't wait to change my out-of-office phone message again. It might sound something like this since the fishing has been so good. "Hi you've reached ratsotail. I'll be out of the office until the next major cold front passes through or there is a windstorm of biblical proportions"  .

tight lines everyone!
