My morning of fishing!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Firstly, love this site!!! :) Like to come on and see how everyone's fishing adventures go.

Mine was amazing today, I am still reeling <pun> with excitment. 3 fish and nothing, and all over 4 pounds. How much better does life get?

However I do realize in my earlier post that Isaid one was a smallmouth but it's a largemouth. Sorry.. was really tired.. :)

Here's the one link to the one my friend who has not been fishing since she was a kid caught. She was getting the little guys, nice for filetting up and pan frying. But then she lands into what she claims was weeds, and felt like weeds, until we SAW it!!!

Then here are my two, the 4 lb 16 oz largemouth and the smallmouth

I'm still totally just wow'd!! And really upset at the same time. Got a brand new fishing rod/reel combo, nothing fancy, but still, it was brand new, first time using today, it's a Quantum EXOS combination rod and reel. well the rod is still fine.. the reel on the other hand, caught me some great fish, and now it won't reel in at all, it's just STUCK!! stuck good, won't move. So I guess I'm euchred for that reel.

Here's my links to my fish.

Sorry for babbling on, but this girl is just one heck of a happy fisherwoman!!!

You can use Imageshack to attach pictures and then paste the picture link in here.. its very simple.. (use the image "Img" tab above when you write a message), and it should look something like this

(with the "***" being the picture link ..example: LmouthBass1.jpg

PS: What body of water were you fishing in girls ?

Reel problems

Post by Seaweed »

First off... congrats on the nice bass. Welcome to Fish-hawk.net

Your reel problems might be fatal but I can almost guarantee you that if you take back your reel to who ever you brought if from or even send it back to Quantum... they will fix or replace it. Most major manufacturers of fishing tackle will always make every effort to keep customers happy. Don't let this overshadow a good day...

Nice fish Kalli2007, welcome to the site but I was just reading your report and you said you caught a 4lb 16 oz. smallmouth, well that allows you into the 5Lb. club since the last time I looked at a math book there is 16 oz. in a pound. Well done!

My Day of fishing..

Post by Kalli2007 »

Really? The 5lb club!! Yay!! I didn't realize that 16 ounces was a pound.. I was so tired.. lack of sleep saturday night and then when we went out sunday morning I was so excited to catch one that danced along the water for me, and then when I saw how big he was I was just so excited!! :)

I have a better picture of myself with the fish, just waiting for my uncle to email it to me. My digital camera decided to run out of batteries on me when I was taking pictures.

I'm very happy with my fishing so far this year. Makes me want to skip work everyday and head out fishing everyday :)

Morning of Fishing

Post by LadyFish68 »

Hey Kalli2007 welcome to Fish-Hawk firstly, and on the big bass way to go! It's nice to see the woman of Hawk do actually fish instead of watching the hubbies have all the fun. I go out all the time weather it's just to get away or just much needed time spent catching my favourite fish which is bass. Anytime you are interested in some fishing look me up and we will hit the lakes for those smalls and largies. Best of luck in your next trip.
