Newboro Lake july 2007

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Newboro Lake july 2007

Post by unclecrankbait »

Just back from Newboro Lake...really good fishing...lots of LMB, SMB and pike...no real big bass...the big one was a SMB @ 3.9lbs...6 pike over 25 inches which is pretty good for that lake...good news...all fish were returned safely to the lake waters... where are the big ones hiding????

with the warm temps the past couple of week, deep weed beds are where to find the lunkers...so they say :)

hi unclecrankbait...

sounds like a fun and productive trip!

I, too, have been getting the mediocre bass this season, but in my case I think it's because I'm not able to put the time in. That's what I keep tellin' myself, anyway.

Glad you had fun!

Thanks for posting this report. I'll be on Newboro week of 8/20 and always enjoy this lake. We fish Clear and Indian as well.

Thanks again. :D
