Black Donald Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

There is bass, pike and walleye in there.

Walleye have a slot limit so check the regulations, I think it is 2 fish limit and they have to be 19.7inches and over.

Nice pike in there, caught a 15 pounder on a blue wally diver close to shore in the most easterly part of the lake.

I was there on the weekend fishing and cought a couple of nice small mouth bass. the biggest being a 4lbs and the smallest was a 1.5lbs. I cought all my small mouth on a Rapala Skitter Pop lime frog coloured. Mind you over the weekend it was a slow 3 days of fishing for hours nothing would bite, but as soon as something did it did not stop. I also brought in a 22" eye and a 5lbs pike. Brought my sisters fiance out fishing with me for the first time and we had a great time on the lake.

If you are going out on the boat becareful on the lake there are a few spot that should be marked as hazzards. Last year my friend hit on of these spots, its deep and then suddenly without a warning the water level in some area's for about 5meter radious the water level is less then 2 feet.
