Going out at petrie island for the weekend

Hi guys,
My dad and me are going saturday at petrie island he is comming from quebec city. Anyone can give me any advice, we wanna target pretty much everything, if bass doesnt bite we can go for pike/wally.
Should we still go shallow or deeper at this time of the year? Are the spinner still good or we better go tube and jigs? Any advice would be apreciated! I searched the forum for hints at that place and there is not much on it.
