Matt there are a lot of us who come on these boards to learn more and become better fisherman and not to see the best get unsulted by some fool. It not onlt degrades the board but it also takes away the knowladge that we can learn from like guy's like you and the other GOOD fisherman. There are a lot of us out here that look up to what you say and learn a lot from it.
I live in the states and in my area we have catfish, carp, crappies, largemouth bass, and saugers. So when we come up there for a week out of the year or whatever we don't have the time to re-invent the wheel as they say. We are going to try and get as much information before we get there to be some what prepared for your species. I've been reading your guy's post for awhile now and have learnned alot from you gus. Keep up the good work.
One that appreciates what you say.

Again, dealing with the tard mentality.
I'm not knocking, hating on the guide. I'm just saying that they're skilled guys in there profession. They know their field. Most men are proficient in their work. Man is as man is. So, when a man's work is guiding, I'm inclined to believe that he is going to be very good at it.
My problem is when the fish-hawk tards praise the guide for finding the monster fish. Guides know where to go. Plain and simple. So, its not like he specifically did something awesome. They just know where the fish are and show you how to find them. If you spent as much time, you would too.
The guys that praise the guides so highly...do you praise your dentists, doctors, brake specialist, etc.... as much??

Matt and Kert why do you guys have to get so defensive here, that was just a bit of good natured ribbing of Richard, I know he catches huge fish, do you think I can't see his avitar? I have seen the fattys Richard has caught, and they are large and many. I have also seen Richard do some pretty nasty online scathing of other fishermen so I'm sure he can handle what I said, I hope he can.
Oh ya, and Richard accusing annother guide of ruining the fishery which is completely bogus, he's not ruining anything any more than Richard is, I mean thats a pretty nasty bash, why does that not get any reaction from you two? are you ok with that? ok
If you want to see some muskies I have caught go look in my trophy room
Jighead, what a major muskzilla that one is, man your knees must have been knocking on that one, awesome

First off I never have done anything other then defend myself in the past, I have now chosen to ignore the culprits and it's working just fine. I have never been the starter or offender on any of those occasions. Man I let a guy live even after he called to threaten my wife last year and this spring when he vandalized my new truck.TLunge wrote:I have also seen Richard do some pretty nasty online scathing of other fishermen so I'm sure he can handle what I said, I hope he can.

As well I am not accusing no one of nothing. Facts are facts, I have been at this muskie fishing for 14 years. One of my best areas for most of those first 12 years is now the worse and I know exactly why.
Sorry to tell you but Richard is not afraid to tell the truth.
BTW you are doing exactly what you have accused me of doing. You are coming on here with false accusations and I suggest you stop now.
Catch and release them all

Folks, regardless of size or weight, those are some great fish. I have no reason at all to question the size or weights of the fish that Richard helps clients get into. He does this for a living and we should respect that.
Now if there are personal reasons for trying to discredit, then please take it somewhere else. I know many enjoy just seeing such majestic fish, I know I do and hopefully I'll be able to break my 46" personal best one day.
The user Fish'n'time has been dealt with for now, so it's just best to ignore his comments at this point in time. I'm continually taken back as to what purpose it serves to question or try and discredit a guys profession. We're only shooting ourselves in the foot, cause these guys who catch good fish, no matter of whether or not they "exagerate" slightly (and I'm not at all suggesting that Richard is doing so), are going to stop participating and you'll never see the beautiful fish they catch. C'mon folks, how many of us fishermen have ever exagerated a bit. I'd bet that 100% of us have in some way or another.
Richard, great fish for sure. Thanks for sharing. I'll get into one of those 50+'ers one day. It's on my list.
Cheers,
