I walked on the ice!!!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'm on the Ottaw Fire Dpartment Water Rescue Team and this and the spring is the busiest time of year for us because of guys pushing the limits. It's your choice to go out there, but if your going to I really hope you guys are wearing survival suits. BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely. BB gave a good description. Essentially a wading belt can be anything tied around waders to mitigate water flowing into them, after you are submerged.

However, in the case of ice...best to not test ideas. Better to stay dry and wait until the ice thickens up a little more. STAY SAFE!

...I could have also made a report on "walking on ice" on the shoreline here on the Ottawa R which is only 2' deep and has 5" of ice....what good is that???...who is going to fish there???...there are many people that view these forums for info....I'd hate to read about someone that saw your post and thought there was enough ice to go out on in 10' of water and went through the ice...
seems like every time i post something TMH has to give some negative feedback!

the only reason why i like this site is how you can make reports,
ask questions, ect...

i dont make these reports hopping to get negative feed backs...

its true what bobber said guys like you make me wanna leave this site...

always the same guys always same B.S feed backs!

i guess we cant all be like joco !! :o

Good advice for sure, 3 or 4 inches of ice on a river is nothing. Just the flow of water around a shoal, rock or dead head can make that safe ice deadly ice :? A survival suit is money well spent

You want to explain that in more detail???...are you nuts or just on drugs??

So...you want to ruffle feathers...then you have!!...

Most people on the site send posts to share how their weekend or day fishing excursions have been......you on the other hand with your sidekicks for some reason have to pretend you're Alfred Hitchcock......"Good Evening...I am going fishing tomorrow for Monsters"....give us a break!!

Send us a report when you get back....why do you have to post crap like that prior to you going out????

Don't worry...you and your buddy won't see another reply from me...I've got better things to do then read nonsense
