I am sorry to see that this is your opinion of Canadians. As in the US, Canada is a free country allowing freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is useless unless there are differing opinions. Through this discussion, you have only seen a few opinions on the subject that were made before all of the results, reasons and explanations were available. There are many people that dissagree with the views seen on Fish-Hawk. In addition, many of the statements which were made dissaproved of the US adminstration, not the US people - there is a big difference. If everyone always agreed with everything the adminstration of a country did, there would be no reason for democracy. Everything would be run as desired so why bother voting? I have seen no historical achievement this sort of administrative nirvana, and cannot forsee this either. As an example of dissagreement with the adminstrations policy, essentially all of the candiates in the US primaries (both Republican and Democratic) are planning to change the approach in Iraq by adding more troups, reducing the troups, or changing the approach to the entire situation. Does this mean that all of the US presidential candiates are anti-American? I would guess not.
For those that dissagree it is important to voice their opinions tactfully and respectfully. Everyone let's, please not make this situation and Fish-hawk a US or Canada bashing event because of differences of opinion.

This is NOT my opinion of Canada or its citizens---It's very simple, Bad mouth your customer= Lose business. Irk him= lose even more business. I've been going to Canada since 1954--first with parents-then taking my kids- now taking grandkids, Last August was the first time since 1954 that we didn't come up. As I have 3 brothers, 5 children, 12 grandchildren, This kind of trashing of my country will NOT be tolerated. Canada loses business because this site allowed anti-american statements be posted. Thus far we have convinced several families to " KEEP it HERE" At this show we will get much higher exposure to those considering Canada Trips this year. This was easily avoided by site sdministrator but wasn't. I loved my Canada trips, so I lose too, but will not relent until this site disallows any more anti canada-anti-us statements. Politics should not be on fishing web sites, And bad mouthing customers is poor business.

For your information I lived in the US for ten years, my Mother is a US citizen and if you want to get into bashing a country let me tell you she constantly had to listen to people bash THIS COUNTRY and so did I. But did we go onto an internet forum and cry about it? NO! We just took it for what it was, a bunch of ribbing by a bunch of people who were not educated about this country. A couple of years ago Canada was bashed by many Americans but we are educated enough to realize the target of their bashing was the government.
If GETTING US BACK by convincing people to stay in your country and not come here is your way of Hurting us then good for you! But bringing up a thread from last spring just to tell everyone here they are going to lose evrything and our economy will hurt because you convinced several families to not come here is just a childish and ridiculous comment.
Every year I go to a certain lodge here and many of the guests are Americans, every one of them I talk to, tell me they love it here and most have been coming up here for years. They also say they will keep coming here. And surprisingly most have very strong opinions on the subject you keep bringing up and they dont like what is going on either. But they support their country no matter what because it is their country.
So enjoy yourself at the show and do your best to convince people not to come to this country of American bashers. I will not stop going to the US for vacations and visit my friends and they will not stop coming here.
I only replied to this thread because I am in a bad mood today, my igloo got attacked by polar bears last night and he stole all of my beer. And since it is winter up here 11 months out of the year it is very important to have both. Now I gotta go find a cop riding a horse wearing a big fuzzy hat to hunt down the polar bear to get my beer back.
