introducing myself

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

okay..

been everywhere and caught everything might be a little bit of an exaggeration, haha ... im gonna try Timber lake early saturday morning, is nothings biting then I want to try this lake called Langevin. supposivly its is stocked hard with splake and rainbow. Both lakes are a little north east of North Bay. my cousin just came back from redpine lake near Duex rivier and came out with a couple of 4lb specks. sorry ive never been to lac champeau. Althou i am a born agian trout fisherman, i still have muskie in my heart. if anyone knows much about the "Chalk, and Petawawa Rivers" id love to swap info.

p.s. shanshuntin, are you hiting up the little ice fishin derby at winterfest in port?? (im sorta from muskoka too)

Not only a trout guy but a Muskokan too..........If your refering to Port Sydney , they are'nt sure if its a go because of the ice or there lack of , however its not ruled out as of yet, they are checkin the ice on a daily basis..........

Ive done a bit of fishing in the Bissett Creek area. Big Bissett, Little Lake. Also down the Brent Rd. at Windigo and Allan Lakes. I know where Redpine is, did your cousin snowmobile in? Ive gone as far as Harvey Shanty but not too sure how to get into Redpine.

Hi and welcome, Splakenator. You'll enjoy this site for its wealth of info as well as very friendly people. Hope to see some of your big splake reports and pic's soon. It keeps the winter doldrums at bay for those of us who don't get out much this time of year!

Jiggy2006: The best time for splake is while on the ice...It is still fun on softwater but a bigger challenge. At least it is for me
